Part-Time or Casual positions: we are currently recruiting Gelato Scoopers for Glebe and Redfern (approx 20hrs/week)

Preference will be given to people with strong customer service skills and food service experience. A Food Safety Certificate is required along with RSA for positions in Redfern.

Front of House roles: Gelato Scooper and FOH Supervisor.

You must love food and people, be passionate about our products and excited to learn about Gelato and Sorbet.

You should be outgoing and empathetic, with a passion for providing amazing customer service. You should understand how to manage customers and a variety of tasks during busy times. You should be willing to go above and beyond to provide a personalised customer experience for every customer.

You’ll need to be an amazing communicator, capable of describing what’s great and unique about each of our products, have a good memory for ingredients and a strong understanding of food handling (including knowledge of food allergens and management of cross contamination).

You should be a cleaning superstar with attention to detail, well presented and bring your own flair and personality to the role.

We pay award wages, including public holiday and weekend rates.

You should be available to work evenings and weekends especially during summer.

Kitchen roles such as Churner and Kitchen Hand, will require the candidate to also work front of house scooping gelato during busy periods.

You must love food and people, be passionate about our products and excited to learn how to make Gelato and Sorbet the Ciccone & Sons way.

Once trained you’ll mainly be working solo in the kitchen, so an ability to multi-task and manage your time according to what needs to be done each shift is a must. You’ll also be responsible for making sure our kitchen stays clean and organised.

Sometimes there is a lot of churning to be done, other times its a bit more laid back and you might be allocated tasks like cleaning storage areas and prep for the week ahead.

Our kitchen team works some different hours to our front of house team, but you should have or be able to be available to work evenings and some weekends especially during summer.
